How to write an effective affirmation

  1. written with empowering action words (i.e. choose to)
  2. focused on what we want not what we don’t want (your mind responds to what it can visualize. when you say don’t spill the milk, what does your mind see)
  3. written in the present tense (your subconscious only knows now so whatever you say must but true right now…even if it’s not)
  4. short, something you can say to yourself when you need an in-the-moment reminder that life is amazing
